I've often made my own fluffy "delights" using mixes and a nonstick frying pan, but it's never the same as it is at a pancake house. Birthdays, getting good grades, getting swimming diplomas etc. I always chose bacon, my sister always apple. Now I'm vegetarian so I like the apple better ;) My grandmother made another version, also a big treat: 'three_in_the_pan'. With raisins, apple and a lot of cinnamon and sugar. We got everything to make them Sunday morning but it never happened. We stayed up until the sun came out and slept until it was too hot to anymore. Then all that was left was packing and driving and leaving. 030531 ... raze they were three of the thickest, widest pancakes i've ever seen, submerged beneath brown sugar, crumble topping, and caramelized apples. each bite was an explosion of pancake sex in my mouth. i came so close to eating all three, but with two little pieces left i found i could eat no more. so that was some pretty good fuel to start the day with. 140808 ... flowerock I love them... I made pancakes using cooked sweet potato, eggs, and almond milk. add nuts and such as you like. yum. carrots work too for more savory taste. now I don;t eat eggs...
