watch_out_they_can_bite crOwl we were driving to work, me, bud, and greg, squashed together in the gmc when we heard squealing tires. looking off to the left, in the parking lot of a wendy's, we saw a young pit bull up on its back legs, its front legs on a little boy's shoulders. his mother was frantically screaming. "ohmygodohmygod!" traffic stopped all around us to catch the unfolding drama. seems the man driving wildly was the dog's owner coming to get the escapee. thing is the dog got down when he saw his master and it turned out it wasn't mean, it was actually showing affection because it then went after the boy's brother, paws on shoulders, licking him in the face. we looked over laughing. the master was calm and collected his dog who laid on his back submissively smiling. his flame haired girlfriend shook her head with casual obstinance. but the mom was hysterical still, clutching her numb sons, eyes wild behind designer frames, cellfone to her ear breathing her fear to 911. we drove on letting the day continue and i tried to find what the message was for me. i kept seeing the smile on the dog's face as it showed its belly.
