underqualified
Bespeckled What if you're offered an amazing opportunity, that you know you're underqualified to do?

Do you decline?
Do you back away and look for something for in line with your capabilities, experience, and comfort level?

Do you pass because you know the chances are high that you'll crash and burn in a sickening ball of visible embarrassment?

Or do you shout "No way am I fucking failing" and accept?

Because I chose the latter. And I feel a little like I'm going to throw up.

Only way to success is to pursue opportunities which make you want to throw up, right? And then kick those opportunities' asses.

unhinged if it makes you feel like you want to puke, maybe it is totally in line with your capabilities. how are you supposed to get experience that's worth anything doing things that are comfortable?

i felt a little pukey when i took my teaching job. i was afraid i wouldn't be good at it, that i lacked experience. now, all of a sudden, i find myself overqualified for the position.
