i wondered how to get around the problem of not talking but saying what i want to say. in that world of orange tinted skies and gentle breezes laughter filled the lilac scented air and couples strolled peacefully, enjoying whatever time their jobs allowed them to spend together. we had shared smiles, looks, quips and quibbles, and passing conversations in the halls. but how to talk about it, how to be free of the standards and the superstitions. a simple name filled my sleeping mind, and it remained with me, with the rest of that world, as i passed from dreaming to waking life. this strawberry woman, her hair a gentle shade of auburn-brown and her eyes a yellowish blue, sat silently eating her fruit, smiles to be shared, and those so deliberate touches mixed among the careless and the casual. they can almost drive a guy mad trying to figure it all out, but rather he live in that world of off-colour hues and beautiful skies then be mistaken and foresaken in this world of blue. even as the day passed, the thoughts and memories remained, threatening to become memory-true displacing those past events that hold a less vibrant story and a less visible wish than those dreams that seem so real and refuse to fade as time passes. 'oh, strawberry girl, keep your smiles and glances with me and i'll keep sharing mine with thee.'
