carousel
Dafremen Life is a carousel that we ride standing on the edge, looking inward. At the center is humanity and everything that we see beyond the carousel, we see within the context of humanity. Turn around, face outward, don't fear the dizziness or worry about the nausea. For there lies your destiny, your TRUE salvation; purging yourself of your human-centered perspective. Beyond that discomfort lies the thrill of the ride. Not in the passenger list, but in the passing scenery. Don't let the opportunity go by, for sooner than you know, the ride will be over and you will have to wait in line for another turn. 021025

IKC 56-80 is wheel's on fire,
rollin' down the road

i've got a picture in my mind of the carousel horse on the cover of an old copy of "something wicked this way comes"

the horse's face was an image full of gear and menace

i don't guess a horse like that would adorn a ride for children

no ---

a merry_go_round of deeply rooted nightmares turning along accompanied by a calliope of screams

++++ i'm in a very "halloweeny" mood, so my apologies if i've darkened this theme up too much ++++

Sonya The music began as the carousel started to whirl.

We cuddled on one of those love benches instead of riding the horses separately.

Somehow to me it seemed storybook...as if that moment was pulled from a fantasy buried deep within the catacombs of a dream I'd forgotten...

The brilliant hues of the horses linger in my mind as I remember our first carousel ride. Your arm was where it belonged...around my shoulder.

Round and round we went as the laughter of children and their elders bounced from horse to horse on the magical carousel.

tender_square the constable said there would be no forthcoming criminal charges against the tenant. after my initial report, more than a month ago, i sent additional details about being followed in my vehicle and the blowtorch display from days ago. "call the non-emergency line," the constable said, "and create new reports for these issues." as a patrol officer, he said, they didn't have "cases." but he assured me that when another officer would be dispatched to my house that they would look at "the evidence in totality," which is what i thought he was already doing. 230811
