i missed that earlier comment on headaches. no. natural light hurts my eyes like little else, but for some reason i have no problem with the 4 fluorescent tubes glowing full sail in an all white room. i recently told people a story about a time i was in elementary school, and the teacher asked us each what we thought death would be like, or the afterlife, or some such. after a little thought i replied that i thought it would be like being in a featureless white room, with no door, windows, or anything else.

in a dream once i travelled up to the summit of a mountain i'd never been to surrounded by tall trees was a space of green, and at the centre stood a white palace an amazing garden i walked through a labyrinth of boxwoodesque knotwork shimmering white, this structure it looked byzantine, there was music and voices but no human bodies or faces only walls and floors and ceilings no doors to close no windows to open only places to freely enter and exit it was all so white when i woke up it felt like i had been staring for hours looking into a bright light
