epitome of incomprehensibility Here's a test to see whether or not I'm disappointed in this website.

1. Look up André Breton's Nadja on TV Tropes.

2. See if it calls Nadja a "Manic Pixie Dream Girl."

If Nadja is not there, I'll be disappointed. If it is, I'll be happy. If TV Tropes calls Nadja a Manic Pixie Dream Girl, I'll roll my eyes and feel noncommittal.

e_o_i Nope. Disappointed. Only mentioned in a discussion; it doesn't have it's own page.

Now that's a fairly flimsy reason for disappointment, isn't it?

e_o_i "its own page" that should be. I require more sleep to recharge my spelling batteries. 141126

e_o_i But they still have a list of alleged homoeroticism in Jane Austen novels! (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/HoYay/JaneAusten) (I have pointed this out to two friends recently for no apparent reason) 160109

e_o_i Nostalgia compels me back. I try another test to see whether I'm disappointed in this website. To the page http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/DepravedBisexual!

Okay, so it does have a clearer definition of "depraved" now - we're not going around conflating, say, Virginia Woolf and Karla Homolka: "However, there is one group of bisexuals who seem all too well represented in the mainstream: the cold-blooded murderous sociopaths." So: actually depraved and not just sexually active, and it criticizes that portrayal. I am pleasantly surprised.

And it still codifies musical tropes as well as narrative ones! This thing, for instance, is called the Minsky Pickup: http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/MinskyPickup

But if TV Tropes is good, that means I am in greater danger of Wasting Time, the apparent bane of my existence. Ah well, yin and yang, big and bang. What's the ADHD Pixie Dream Girl to do? Join the thing? (But I have homework to correct.)
