raze doing all i could to make sure no one trained a camera on me through most of my adolescence. not telling a fistful of people who were important to me about this place when we were still on speaking terms. buying a bong. not buying that beat-up old gibson hummingbird. letting too many people back in when i shouldn't have. all those years spent frozen by fear instead of swallowing the thick mess of it and speaking what was in my heart. trying too hard. not trying hard enough. letting too many dreams exist as only whispers of themselves after waking. failing to find you in a stairwell when we both slept under the same spritz of stars and time was not yet such a wilful, unwieldy thing. 260907
