rude
yep these days, days glued together by a tacky puddle of anxieties, bring it out.

So uncharacteristic of me, especially towards my colleagues. Embarrassing, shameful, fun.

I'll pretend I didn't hear that pointless, inane question. I haven't the time to waste addressing it.

I'll point out the flaws in your poorly conceived, researched, and planned project - sans the "constructive criticism" approach I am capable of finessing.

I am internally apologetic. I can't believe I swore, belittled, ended the meeting and walked out without saying goodbye. I am not a drama queen. This in uncharacteristic.

This is rude.

This will bite be in the ass later.

This will make me severely disliked if I keep it up.

It's just flat out unacceptable.

But these days, it feels so good to slap others in the face with the power of well-placed words. Even though a minute later and I'm feeling awful.

nr girl at the tragically hip show viewing says briskly: "you can't put your bag here [on our table]."
i wasn't putting my bag there; it just accidentally brushed up against something since we were all packed like sardines. but she turned away and started talking to her friends before i could even answer.

receptionist: "we have sept. 1, at 11, 11:30..."
me: "oh actually, sept. 1 isn't great; are there any dates the week after?"
her: "no, the next one is sept. 20."
me, thinking: "ok, i'll have to do the sept. 1 then. sorry, what are the times again?"
her: "i just told you the times."

(yes, but, i purposefully didn't get you to continue because i didn't think i could do that date, so i wasn't really paying close attention. i was actually intending to make it easier on you, so you wouldn't have to list dates for no reason.)

ugh. people who think canadians are polite may be disappointed if they visit toronto.
