remedial
ovenbird In addition to having a UTI, I am an idiot. After my morning spent procuring antibiotics I needed to send some work emails. Behold! Here is an email that claims there’s been a suspicious login to my account. Do I want to check my list of logged in devices? Why yes I do! I click on the link. Bad idea. A pop up informs me that I’ve clicked on a simulated phishing email. DAMN IT. I’ve caught every one of these in the past and reported them. Gold star for me! A+ student! Not this time. In my sleep deprived, bacteria ridden state, I fell for it. I immediately received an email saying I’d been enrolled in an online training session called “Remedial Training for Phishing Clickers.” I honestly don’t think there’s anything they could have called this that would have made me feel MORE stupid. I am NOT the sort of person who needs “remedial training.” And being labelled a “phishing clickerfeels extremely judgemental. This does not define me! I only did it once! My mental state was compromised! I have to live with this now–the knowledge that I’m a “phishing clicker,” a complete dunce, a liability to those around me who depend on me not to click on suspicious links in my email inbox. I’m going to need ice cream and a full hour of dog petting to recover from this blow to my ego. Hopefully this is the end of the travel hiccups, but I won’t hold my breath. 260720
