it was a typo. a screw up... a cosmic joke on psychology teachers. I don't know. An active sort of learning. I wanted things to makes sense. I wanted things to mean things. I wanted friendships to be the sort of something one might feel inspired to write cliches about. I wanted loves of the sort that would make the films on love seem more trite and redundant than they ever have before. and all I've got is reality. And it manages to be both predictable and uncliched. And I wonder what would happen if there was really no such thing as a free lunch? How would we feel if pop songs were our love lives? Who would you want to be sung by? Can I really not handle the truth? So I propose this theory. not a theory even. I'm saying this. Typing it. Writing it down. We are here. You can say what you want about solipsism or nihilism, bout we're still here and your philosophy isn't going to change that. We have a reason. I don't care waht you say that reason is, or if you don't know that reason, but I'm tired of people saying they did it for no reason. You meant to do it, or you meant to do nothng about it... you are at least a little in control of your life. You have reasons... even if they seem unreasonable. Live. I don't care if you leave footprints... I don't care if you leave craters. It doesn't really matter to me if no one remembers you when you're gone. BUt I want you to feel inside where things mean things that you lived. What ever that means to you. Like you went through with it. We are meaningful. We matter. You will tell yourself many times in the course of a day... in the span of a life, that it just didn't matter. It matters. You matter. They matter. It matters. Emotion gives things meanings. And that's what I'm really all about. Meaning. I mean something. Hope, or failure, or treachery, or love. I mean those things. I mean baseball or french class, or kittens, or skittles, I mean words and songs, and movies. And other people mean to me. just a theory I had.

Not a popular theory, but one becoming more prevalent in people who haven't been fooled by the lazy wand of disaffection.
