new_and_improved
raze after seven years of being savaged by the sins and whims of my camera and the hands that have held it, the first battery i ever bought for the thing is toast. fully charged, it's good for maybe fifteen minutes before it starts flashing red to warn me it's about to die. that's not cutting it anymore.

i bought another battery today at henry's. no one named henry works there. one of the women behind the counter said this was the new and improved version.

"it's supposed to hold a charge twice as long now," she said. "a guy was just in here earlier today. he told me he shot a whole wedding on one battery and never had to recharge."

we said a few other things. i handed her some cash. she gave me my change and a receipt.

"let me know how it works out for you," she said.

"if it's as good as they say it is, i might be back for more," i said. "i could use an extra battery for my body, and another for my mind."

"couldn't we all," she said.
