locker_room_life
crOwl i'm slowly returning to the ski school, mostly going up on weekends since the weather is in the 50's and i can still do some gardening work without appearing like an idiot.

we're doing clinics, which means little, except for the sake of pseudo-importance, being "trained" by supervsiors who are doing it just because they're told to by people who are being told to do it by people who are trying to make as much money as they can because they just bought the resort from others who owned and ran it since 1960.

so, i'm there to fill in time until march when i can return to gardening, but it's much more than that. today it was watching and listening to the phenomenom of locker room life.

the locker room is where we all come to get away from authority, even though they often bust in to grab us to do private lessons.. still, it's where everyone is themselves. i'm typically a quiet person, keeping to myself, like today, eating granola from an empty roasted red pepper jar watching "the wizard of oz" on tnt. yet, i listen to the conversations of the peurile, often adding comments like, "stick banannas in the freezer and then chop them up in a blender for a smoothie with almonds and maple syrup." whatever, i guess. i just like to listen to the dynamic. how friendships are created and strengthened through jesting, tomfoolery, and sexual undertone. i imagine us all as desperate infants seeking comfort acceptance and milk from the breast. look at me, we all say, i have a need to be recognized. hear my voice. see my visage. envelope me for my uniqueness because truly i am different than you.
