i think coaches who instruct their team to repeatedly foul a player who's a poor free throw shooter when they're down in a game, hoping to shave some cheap points off the other team's lead while sucking all the energy out of the arena, trying to win ugly instead of honestly competing, should be kicked in the junk. repeatedly. by shaquille o'neal.

I only wish I could care about the NBA. I really do think basketball is a great sport. And I am so invested in men's NCAA. I adore the madness. But women's bb and men's bb on any level other than american collegiate just never excited me. Maybe it's just that I have no one to cheer for. Don't get me wrong, I saw the 2016 finals and appreciated it for the great spectacle that it was. But I didn't care. But make mention of Pitino and Richardson and Self and Roy_Williams and Few and K and them, and now you've got me talking about trap patterns and shot selection and assist-to-turnover ratio and I can geek out real fast. But my basketball passion only lasts as long as the brackets pretty much ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Also for the record my bracket did mostly take a beating, but I did call for Florida to beat Houston in the finals. Not the first time I ever called a winner, but it is the first time I ever called both the winner and the runner up. My other 2 final 4 picks were wrong. A lot else was wrong. Really wanted to pick McNeese too, just didn't pull the trigger. Also also for the record I don't think Shaq is a great candidate for testicle kicking unless the object of rattling were to be hoisted up somehow. Shaq couldn't possibly get much torque before is foot were to reach up to a scrotum of average height. Just not much distance to cover for him. I think I'd rather be kicked in the balls by Shaq than, say, Tony Parker. But it might just be better to play the game with integrity. Because yes the last 2 clocked minutes of a basketball game can occasionally be the most dramatic but can often be the most agonizing.
