Lime Rider well: child is grammatically neuter, while stomme belongs to a masculine or feminine word. Stom is the right adjective form before a neuter word. English doesn't have this distinguinshing anymore. Also it's "het kind", not "de kind" (both means "the child"), but it is "de man" and "de vrouw" ("the man" and "the woman"). With "een" there's no difference. "een man" or "een kind" is both grammatically correct. Where/how did you pick up your dutch? 030119 ... een stom kind ive been living here for 2 years now. so some of it was in school - though until this year i had the shittiest teachers ever. and the rest i just kinda get from my friends - but most of that is just useless stuff we like to have fun with 030119 ... een stomme kind ...dutch is an evil, evil language... ;) 030221 ...
