epitome of incomprehensibility One of my pet_names for Shiloh, "[hyper little] chaos demon" comes not from Lovecraft (Yog_Soggoth_isn't_real, after all) but from my first German class.

Green and gung-ho, I started off taking notes on the things I didn't have to take notes on, like an article in the Sag Mal book (written in English) about typical greetings in Germany.

"Germans tend to look at you when they shake hands," I noted - then, wondering why I bothered to write that, I added, "as opposed to looking at Blorkenbloink, Elemental Chaos Demon."

Actually, it makes sense to tell people about typical body language in greetings. Not just for foreigners who may have different habits, but for those who don't pick up body language as quickly and need to learn it like a second language.

I guess I'm fairly typical in my non-neurotypical-ness: you'd expect autistic folks to have more trouble with body language and ADHDers to stumble over conversational turns - either interrupting too much or losing trains of thoughts. And yes, I do more of the latter. I can read others' body language most of the time, if I'm paying attention, and I kind of unconsciously adapt to it. Even when I'm self-conscious, pose and gesture don't usually need dedicated thought. But in talking, I have to watch myself that I don't go on too long, interrupt, or on the flip side remain silent in a conversation.

That isn't very chaotically demonic, is it? Controlled, more like. But sometimes it's fun to give in to your inner chaos demon - to dance to music at midnight and scrawl down philosophical rambles.

e_o_i Ha, yes!

...Whereas if Blorkenbloink and Yog-Soggoth hit it off, they'll be calling each other "sweetie-pie" and "smoochie-poo" - anything that would nauseate Calvin of Calvin and Hobbes, basically.
