blowing_bubbles
epitome of incomprehensibility Walking from a bus stop to the grocery store earlier this evening, I thought of blowing bubbles with my gum.

Then I thought it was childish.

Then I thought, doesn't matter. There are some things that are childish and not bad.

The gum was okay for bubbles. Not great, but okay. I got to be air-tongued, blowing a little levity to hold aloft.

nr i was at a couple of summer events recently where kids were blowing bubbles nearby, always when i was in the middle of eating or drinking. it made me feel a mix of amusement and nostalgia while i tried my best to protect my consumables from soap. 260821

i wanted to watch
them come apart and
lick the film of their
leaving from my fingers.

now, while washing
dishes, i see a bubble
born and think: every
moment this tenuous
thing manages to beat
the odds is a reason
to go on living
a little longer.
