the_who_page
raze i don't know how often anyone uses this feature to see who's been around. i tend to spend more time on the recent page. but i do toggle back_and_forth sometimes.

funny thing: the way it operates has completely changed overnight.

literally.

in the past, what happened was every time someone blathed on a blathe they hadn't blathed on before (or created a brave_new_blathe), their name and that blathe went to the top of the list. if they blathed in the same place again, the who page took no notice.

our personal lists of blathes worked the same way. once every decade or so, there would be a brief glitch. something you'd written on five years ago would float back to the top when you added to it, or your name would appear twice without explanation. but that was about it.

without direct access to blather's back end, i can only guess that the script responsible for sorting this stuff out has done what dana carvey's face did when he met paul mccartney for the first time and gone a bit funny. whatever the cause, i guess what we've got now, for however long it lasts, is a more honest and accurate who page.

it's a strange thing to see after growing so accustomed to the usual lies of omission.
