amy actually, there used to be or still is a hebrew blather. it existed in 98 or 99. something like that. maybe even 00. i think it might've used the same code because it was made by another member of New Dream Network. incredible, but true! 031007

raze i know i wouldn't understand a word of it without having some serious fun_with_google_translate, but i'm fascinated by the idea of a blather that's written in another language. it would be something just to experience the *otherness* of it all.

i_wonder if it still exists.

raze a few people stumbled onto these blue relics eons ago. i just found them recently.

http://blather.newdream.net/bday/

long before 'skites were accusing one another of turning blather into a chatroom, there were two private versions of blather created for that very purpose, on new_year's_eve and st_patricks_day (in 1999 and 2000, respectively).

there isn't a whole lot to see there. but it's about as close as we can get to experiencing how ghostly and empty blue must have felt when it was brand new. while the navigational tools don't work anymore (clicking on a date or a name will only lead to an error), individual blathes are still accessible via the index pages:

http://blather.newdream.net/y2k/a/
http://blather.newdream.net/bday/a

and so on.

there's also the strangeness of this word form, which seems to be from a beta version of blather:

http://blather.newdream.net/blather.html

let's spout!
