warmthofrelease That first record does loom over the rest of the discography. Or maybe it's the absence of Greg_Lake that looms. But Robert_Fripp Crimson still has a lot to offer. Red Does Rock, and any prog head can appreciate it. Islands is beautiful. Lark's Tongues drags on a little, but it balances extremes masterfully. Poseidon is (to quote Big_Boi) cooler than a polar bear's toenails. Lizard is certifiably insane in the best way. I couldn't really recommend much of the post-hiatus stuff unless you like Thelonious_Monk levels of esoteric, but Discipline seems to have a reasonably sized cult following and I can understand why. For the longest time I only listened to In the Court, and there's still nothing else even remotely similar to In the Court, but the rest of the band's lineage deserves a lot of respect. 250219

raze (you're making me want to dust off my king crimson albums over here. and also reminding me how much the front cover for "in the court of the crimson king" scared the shit out of me when i was a kid. some of the music sort of did too, but i loved it.) 250219
