e_o_i But I didn't like yesterday's task so much. It was one I set for myself: dusting and sweeping the shop. Guess what substance triggers my allergies?

Sniffling and wheezing aside, it was a good thing to *have* done, if not a pleasant thing to do.

The studio tour started today and continues tomorrow. Except during a brief downpour, the shop had a steady stream of visitors, though not an inundation.

My task today was just to do my own batiking, so that visitors who entered the studio could see how it worked, and to fill in at the cash when Aunt Sarah stepped out.

My aunt wore her batik dress, a yellow and brown one she got forty years ago, she says. "Indonesian-style, traditional batik. Popular with the hippies back then." She wore earrings with dangles in the shape of a tjanting, the batik tool that funnels wax into a point.

I also finished proofreading the article for her daughter, my cousin Julia, this morning...I think. I might have to change some non-italics back to italics. She didn't answer me about that yet. Maybe I was too hasty changing them, but she said APA style... Ah well. Don't_lose_sleep_over_that.
