toilet
raze i get excited about weird things lately. like getting a new toilet. i keep ducking into the bathroom to admire the toilet_bowl_blue and say (or think), "it's so clean! pristine!" or some non-rhyming similar thing. 180126

e_o_i Last year my parents got a new toilet to replace the peachy-pink one that'd come with the bathroom furniture (matching the bathtub and sink). I didn't like that it was white. "Now it's a boring, typical toilet colour," I thought, "and white things have to be cleaned more."

Though 1 is silly, but Thought 2 proves partly true - have to dust the top every week.

I guess the problem is the things you don't dust, the things you don't think of as dirty. High bookshelves and such escape my notice, and then when I tackle them there's so much dust you could knit a sweater from them. Or at least enough to make me sneeze.
