warmthofrelease That eponymous debut album is such an absolute gem of English pop rock. It's unfortunate that it seems to be so obscure in North America (i.e. hard to find in record stores) for all its influence and legacy and appreciation it gets in its homeland. Such wonderful tone work for an 80s record, the guitar tech and engineer both deserve high praise. Such fresh arrogant youthful vitality, and with a surprising amount of both groove and urgency for a debut. It's just one of those albums which feels eternally fresh, utterly timeless, how could I ever tire of such a smart, poised, perfectly executed piece of art? It is a bridge between the 80s and the 90s in English music history. And it's one of the most engaging and memorable records I've ever heard. Wait until the glow of the late afternoon before listening, it's worth it. All of life is worth it to be able to experience the treasures hidden in plain sight. Especially the experiences that become better with each repetition. You can put this one on my turntable any time. 241103
