fyn gula we are writers.

we scratch our existence with bitten fingernails into skin.
we smear blood across the smooth face of stone and profess our love.
we take charcoal from the spent fires of youth and scribble our perpetual longing.
with frozen fingers we slide across steamy windows and pledge temporary devotion.

letters appear in sticks, in clouds, in everything, and we form them into sentences that speak forth the rawness of words which our lips cannot.

epitome of incomprehensibility "Love Comes Softly" was the title of a sort of Christian pioneer romance series I read when I was 11-13.

At that age, no "oh, so y'all orgasm quietly" jokes would come, soda speak, to mind, but I did find it funny how everyone said "iffen" for "if".

But 35 is no age to dialect-shame...and I've picked up "y'all" myself from time to time (see above). It just sounds good.

Anyway, the title struck me because it mashed the mushy soft-love title with biblical adage "Perfect love drives out all fear" - which still sounds grand and wise to me some days, even if I can't make sense of it. Even iffen I can't.
