may all your turkey or tofurkey be tender and moist, and may all your mashed potatoes speak to you in warm, hushed tones.

happy thanksgiving, fellow canucks. i had to work today and family didn't do anything for it this year, but i ate mini autumn-themed cupcakes and wore an orange shirt. thanksgiving day still has the negative connotation that began five years ago, but we do what we can.

Happy belated thanksgiving to anyone and everyone who wants such a wish! nr, yes, it can be hard when a bad association attaches to something. For a while, I wondered if this was just a Weird E_o_i Anxiety thing, but I'm not as unique as all that (ha). E.g. my mother still feels bad on the date when her mother died. ...So it happens that my parents are doing Thanksgiving next week to combine with my cousin's birthday, but Concordia's having a full fall reading week for the first time. Which means I am on break! and thus frantically getting ready for a craft show, but yeah.
