Paper ghosts telling me their tale, Cartoon dogs starting at a wail. Waxwork bats flying through the trees, Glass pumpkin heads laughing at bended knees. Candyfloss cats scratching through walls, Obscure looking men, loitering round malls. Dusty, dried-out bones tapping at your bed, Dark fugitive creatures roaming around your head. Plastic gravestones writing words of blood, Screaming children running if they could. Angry villagers marching with pointed sticks, The figurine of Halloween snapping our blackened whip. The noose of society, tightening its grip, Parents leading their children through this age of guilt trip. The system of propriety, its lucky number just thirteen, A mask hiding the unfulfilled task, its personal Halloween.
