raze i almost bought a vintage stooges tee on ebay twenty years ago. i'm not sure what stopped me.

most of the band shirts i have are from shows i saw when i was a kid. styx. billy_joel. kansas. stuff like that. i want to say bryan ferry's in there somewhere, but i don't think he was selling shirts when i saw him.

two came from friends who were in bands. the one i like best is too big on me now, but it was one of my favourite shirts for a few years there. i should set fire to the other one.

some of the oldest shirts stretched all the way down to my knees when i first got them. the one i really wish i could still wear was tight on me even when i was skin and bones. today it's a glorified straightjacket. it's got kurt cobain's face on the front. he looks the way i felt back then. angry and alone.

i don't know why i'd want to advertise that kind of pain now. maybe to prove it isn't mine.

it's probably a good thing the shirt doesn't fit me anymore.
