The twins kicked inside her and she smiled at him as he drove. She noticed that there was hair-thin crack in the face of one of the dolls and a tiny bit of black mildew had grown in it, near the spot where it met the hairline. "Honey," he said to her as as he turned the corner onto their street "Yes?" she said. "One of the guys invited me down to his house next week to play a little poker, i didn't accept because even though i know you're not due for a few more weeks, i don't want to be away if anything happens." "I've got a better idea, invite them over to our place, tell them to bring their wives," she said, "you boys can play in the den and me and the girls can have a little get together of our own." "Cool," he said, flashing her a grin before giving her his best Jackie Gleason impersonation as they pulled up to the driveway. "Baby, you're the greatest." "No," she smiled, "i think you get that title for hanging that paneling in the basement so fast, God, i swear those bare walls down there weresn't just ugly but there was something cold and creepy about them too." They went inside.

makes me think of physics senior year and Mr. Ferris. I love that guy. he used to get our class to help him pick out ties on days where he had to coach a game; he was also the basketball coach. when we asked him about his girlfriend once and why he didn't get her to help him, he replied, "let's just say she's not picking out my ties anymore." that man is so adorable.
