re Miley Cyrus in 10_things_music_videos_have_taught_me: I think she's on to something, actually. The todd_in_the_shadows review led me to watch "We Can't Stop" a couple months ago, and I thought it was terrible. And there was another song too, also terrible. And then there was a thumbnail of Miley's face, sad now, on some YouTube list, and a shocking thought occurred to me -
That girl looks like me. Why does she? Did I ask for this kid who makes annoying songs to look like me? -
so I looked at the video for "Wrecking Ball." While the closeup of her face assured me that I have a rounder nose and deeper-set eyes than Miley, I also got to listen to the song. I must admit it sounded good, at least compared to "We Can't Stop." Repetitive, but with a certain dramatic flair that I admired.
So is that the strategy now? To make something shallow and look-at-me-ish, and then do something seemingly heartfelt and serious that looks artsy in comparison?
I don't know. All I know is that my nose is rounder than Miley Cyrus's nose. I used to wish for a pointier nose, but now I am happy.
