I have ( with a coupon ) impetuously bought the collected works of the Tulku. i am on number 2. you can have them when I'm done. Number 1 was heartbreaking and amazing and, of course, enlightening. This guy is such a shortcut, I feel like, somehow, he transmits so easily - is very well spoken - and thus there's a dearth of people finding caves and putting things under deep, long, careful consideration. All you have to do is get lightning flashed by the dead-too-soon guru. and then lightning flashed by his followers and then you're out of life's hindrances and you feel done. So done. But it's probably a mirage, and it's easier to have a common life, work carefully at being authentic, although even if you have an uncommon life still it's completely within the realm of possibiility to be authentic. Uniqueness increases, though.

I was meditating to Ravi Shankar chanting and my brain went into some other wave pattern. I do not work hard at meditating, although life itself is mentally challenging. Whenever the shift happens, I think I must be cheating. I don't know who or what to blame. It's a nice experience but my dreams went completely wonky, in this musico-energetic way. I blame the meditation. "superpowers" are not always a sustained wonderful thing and they can make you pine for simpler, more Terrence McKenna derived days....

The Dalai Lama told me to tell you. But I have no idea what the Dalai Lama's point is. Only that he was there.
