this is likely one of the most beautiful bodies of words that my eyes have ever beheld. my brain actually needed a rest from time to time as i read it in order to process the gorgeous prose intermixed with romantic poetry. the author was able to tell a multi-faceted story, transcending generations both forward and back while also intermixing the parallel worlds of her characters...while creating poetry in several different styles from two very different poets. this work provoked the strangest reactions from me, as it reached into my conscience and plucked the strings of my inner harp. i completely related with one of the male characters, which was unexpected, but the soul doesn't pick and choose when provoked emotions bubble to the surface.

i highly recommend possession...it was definitively well worth the time investment.
