raze once, some unseen someone who worked at a multiplex pumped "maybe you've been brainwashed too" through the pa system before the coming_attractions. i don't know anymore what movie i was there to see. here's the thing: the person who selected that night's soundtrack skipped the songs i knew. that meant no "you get what you give", and no "someday we'll know". all i got were deep_cuts like "i don't wanna die anymore" and "in need of a miracle". i was sure what i was listening to was the second side of "tattoo you". and my brain said: shit, man. this is better than i thought it would be. there are some great hooks here, and mick's falsetto is on point. imagine my surprise when i bought one of the last solid stones albums and heard something else entirely. it was years before i knew what i'd been subjected to was the sweet stuff that slipped between the cracks of the only suite of songs scraped together by a one_hit_wonder who hid behind a bucket hat when he feared the spotlight might set his head aflame. 241108
