raze i can never decide if i like him better raw and rocking out or soft-spoken and heartbroken. i guess it all depends on where i'm at myself. sometimes i want to sleep with angels. and sometimes i need a crowd of people, but i can't face 'em day to day. once, long before i owned a computer or knew what the internet was, i heard him singing on the radio. i was sitting alone on someone's deck in the summer. the song was almost fifteen minutes long. i didn't want it to end. it took me years to track it down. when i heard it again, i realized it never really left me. the most hated album he ever madethe one that inspired his record company to sue him for not sounding enough like himselfwas an attempt at communicating through music with his son, who was born with cerebral palsy so severe he couldn't speak. even his missteps have been guided by love. 231231
