nr i wasn't sure how i felt about you as a person. i acknowledged that i didn't really know you. you were a great teacher, knowledgeable, helpful, kind, and truly wanting us to succeed, but it was hard to tell who you really were beyond your sales professional persona.

you changed the way i'd thought about sales, though, as did my classmates and the course itself. selling products or services one cares about, to people one cares about helping, requires genuineness and active listening that is very different from, say, the people who won't stop randomly calling you asking if you need your air ducts cleaned even after you've told them multiple times you don't need that.

and then we had a video call with just the two of us so you could coach me on a job interview i have, and i saw a bit more of the relaxed version of you. you were still professional but more humble and natural. your call after mine had cancelled, so you spent a lot of time with me, and then we shot the shit a bit at the end. you asked me questions about my field you were unaware of. you're not as openly playful as i am, but it was fun to make you smile.
