epitome of incomprehensibility

It's an ecological zoo in the west end of the island, St.-Anne-de-Bellevue, and it focuses on species native to North America. Aaaand someone who was there in the spring has been pestering her family about going collectively for another visit. See, they have a baby otter for the first time in years. Usually animals there don't have babies - they want to make sure they aren't taking on more than they can handle - but the staff there didn't sterilize the latest two otters. Reason? They'd recently renovated and the otter habitat was big enough for three or four...and, selfishly, the otters are popular, so they figure people will come see them. Those people include me. Selfishly, I want to see a baby otter. And the lynx again. It is WAY too huggable-looking for an animal that'd probably rip your face off if you tried hugging it. The lynx enclosure is bigger now, too, so the large cat is harder to spot, but you can smell it from way off. It's not a bad smell exactly. Just...lynx-y.
