Regardless. On Monday, B and I were walking down Mount Royal. I was thinking of kissing him on the mountain near the lookout but that never happened. See, in Zoe Whittall's Bottle Rocket Hearts, the main character has a significant kiss on Mount Royal, and my friend J first kissed her (now ex) girlfriend on Mount Royal. Third time's the charm, I thought, but it wouldn't have been queer, just quaint. Just quota. So now we are walking down the stairs from the mountain to Peel street. His phone rings and he looks at the screen, then answers. We're walking down the stairs and he's talking enthusiastically in French about "projet" and "doctorat." When we reach a landing, he says, "Here's my friend F, he's in Paris right now and he wants to learn English," and hands the phone to me. F asks me comment j'appelle and how am I doing in English? I am doing fine in English. (2nd part to come with the B part)

The person on the phone was from Burkina Faso. B from Burundi, his friend from Burkina Faso, and he mentioned another colleague from Benin. So, walking down the rest of the stairs, we came up with three more B countries: Botswana Belgium Bulgaria We forgot Bolivia, Bhutan, Brunei, and Bangladesh.

Oh sorry nr, I didn't see the comment! Thanks! I had no idea that was a page on blather. I didn't think anybody would've heard of the book. This is rather awesome :) 'Course, I don't remember the thing terribly - it was five years ago, near when you were reading it.

B countries - someone else has googled this, I see. So, all that's left are the Bahamas, Barbados, Belarus, Belize, Bermuda, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil (of course), and Burma, though it's called Myanmar now. How the hell could I forget Brazil? It's the biggest of all B-countries, I believe. Botheration.
