weakerthans silentbob We are a four piece power pop band from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. We are the creators of two full length albums, one EP, several music videos, and contributors to numerous other musical and artistic projects using varying formats. We are the survivors of five hundred thousand miles of autobahns, trans-atlantic flights, interstates, ferry crossings and dirt roads; we have played your town (as ourselves or as others). We are 3/4 Icelandic. We use bass guitar, four piece drums, two electric guitars, one acoustic guitar, musical saw, piano, melodica, switchblades, sub bass pedals, mallets, capos, whrilywind, keyboards, vibes, glockenspiel, lapsteel, Rhodes piano, slide whistle and voices to make sounds. We suggest you read a book, because it might change the way you feel. We like to take a day off by the ocean during our travels to play in the surf with our friend who used to live in LA but moved to New York, then to Toronto, then to New York again. We miss our beds when we sleep on the floor. We like to write songs and play them to crowds of strangers - who make us feel like their friends. Let's have a drink after the show.
