situational amy some students had gotten belligerant to me, said i was going too fast (which i think i was), said i didn't understand how dumb they were. we had a little word fight. a teacher-student showdown. they were out of line, but their criticisms were valid. i was not asserting my position enough, though. now, they don't show up to class as much. then i went to Taco Del Mar to get a fish burrito. the song there was "All you need is love" and the guy there started singing it too. lesson: fighting doesn't work that well in situations of exchange. although from their perspective, maybe fighting does work when they think i'm out to give them a bad grade. it's a little disrespect all around. that's what i think, anyway. 030205 what's it to you? who go blather from
