epitome of incomprehensibility

New (i.e. months ago) internet meme with a dress, because the one of uncertain colour left us craving more. "Red Dress" is a song by someone called Sarah Brand that's almost entirely off-key, so that it's hard to figure out (in the non-chorus parts) what the notes were supposed to be in the first place. The interesting thing is that people commenting on it would say how terrible the song AND the video are. Well, the video seems well done to me, cheeky in a deliberate way, plus with ambiguity at the end (white-dress "pure" figure is shaking her ass in the front of the church, while red-dress sexy one is watching from the pew with a raised eyebrow). But this doesn't answer the mystery of whether the singing is bad on purpose. Perhaps we'll never know. Here's a good cover, though, that captures some of the humour besides the out-of-tuned-ness (and I'm loving the little rhythmic flourishes): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-6toEDltG3c
