my
old
high
school
art
class
was
in
a
former
chemistry
lab
.
a
nice
shift
in
priorities
,
i
thought
.
though
science
was
always
good
fun
too
.
there
were
heaps upon heaps
of
old
issues
of
national geographic stuffed
floor
to
ceiling
in
that
room
,
as
well
as
others
(
but
those
weren't
my
art
rooms),
for
the
purposes
of
collage
and
reference
and
all
that
jazz
.
i
plastered
the
wall
of
my
room
,
my
locker
and
my
mind
with
their
stories
and
images
of
frogs escaping
the
jaws
of
caimans, tribes tanning hides
by
some
murky
river
and
stuff
of
that
sort
.
now
,
all
i've
got
left
is
a
silly
psychedelic
painting
over
Ben
Franklin's
face
.
i
wonder
where
the
others
went
