semi sweet bijou i think i have some of the strongest willpower of anyone i know when it comes to food. i'm a vegetarian and i have a very healthy, balanced diet. a while ago i thought i could start adding a few things in, namely chocolate. i had steered pretty clear of the stuff for a while. now that it's back, i can't keep it under control! what is it about that stuff? i can say, after so long without it, your run-of-the-mill milky way or snickers bar isn't even tempting anymore. they taste like cardboard to me. my weakness is pure: dark or semisweet. nice, expensive chocolate is great but i'm just as happy with chocolate chips out of the bag (or picked out of a cookie!). i don't know what my problem is. i used to keep an out of line appetite in check by reminding myself that "there's something thankless in a wish fulfilled." but there's nothing thankless in chocolate. 030917
