keeper
raze just like i used to think every water_tower i saw somehow held all the water in the world, i used to believe a lighthouse was a sacred place that was never without its keeper. someone who could never leave, who had to make sure there was light_enough for everyone.

sometimes i wish the poetry of a mind still being formed never had to contend with the slow encroachment of reality, and we were free to shape our lives out of a lost language we dreamed into being before letting it slip away.

don't let it leave you. i won't let it leave me.

give me water.
give me light.
give me kindness.
give me spite.
give me everything
your arms can carry,
and i will drink
until i drown.
