epitome of incomprehensibility "Manchmal" in German (it means "sometimes") if that "ch" is supposed to be a palatal fricative like the "ch" in "ich".

I just can't seem to make that sound between an n and an m. It always comes out like "manshmal" instead.

e_o_i That one doesn't seem at all difficult to say, but I might not get it right the first time just by looking at the letters (is it more like Karl or Karol or ka-RELL?) But if you told me, I'd remember. I think it's only fair to make an effort to pronounce names how the name-havers pronounce them. 251027
