epitome of incomprehensibility

Gracefield, Quebec (near the Ontario border), Canada: for three summers I worked at a camp in this town. I've been back several times since. But to my brother, it's probably his second home: he's worked there for 12 years, last year in the fall as well as summer (the camp rents out campsites and hosts retreats throughout the year). The standard thing for a while was for Mom, Dad, and I to go there the first weekend of August, then take Y. with us to the Maxville/Glengarry Highland Games. Reasons this hasn't happened the past three years: 2020 - pandemic 2021 - pandemic 2022 - dog Comments about Gracefield's name, paraphrased and answered: -Oh, so this is Elvis' Canadian retreat! (It SHOULD have been.) -Ha, a cheesy name for a Christian camp. (Yes, but it was the town's name first. Wikipedia says a Patrick Grace graced it with that nomenclature.)
