She says sells flowers for a living. Is always happy to see me and reads books too. It’s her smile that gets me - so always there; so obliging. No flower lasts for that long. So I went in to get some blossoms for Marree. “A sweet heart?” she asked “Hardly” I said “Well what’s her favourite colour then?” I raised eyebrows in return and added “Your guess is as good as mine...” When I came back later I asked her “So what’s all this then?” “Don’t worry yourself about that” she said. Marree loved them Maybe more than half as much as me. Next morning I reported my success. Everyone had a win and a blossom…if only on the cheeks.
