Lying on the floor in my bedroom, my body sinking into the white shag carpet of my carefree youth, I feel the breeze of soft summer tickling my happy toes, sending goosebumps on fingertips of wind, creeping, up my skin, where my cotton shorts bunch up around my thighs falling down the slope of my legs that rest on the soft down comforter on my white bed of dreams. My fingers reach to feel the feathery black hair that pools about my gleaming face like a nighttime halo, while I stare at the ceiling, listening to the fan blades click through their revolutions, the chains clanging quietly together. I turn my eyes to the open window, where the sun shines past my room, letting me enjoy the summer's shadows a little longer ... My eyelids drift downward under the heavy seduction of summer repose, and my lips creep into a wistful smile as the fingers of the creeping wind magically become yours.
