raze he said he had to leave, and then he didn't go. i think he could tell i wanted him to stay a while longer. he talked about building a second kitchen as an addition to the house. something you could slide out of bed and step right into.

"your dream arm's been waving at the moon," he told me. "words are just other people's food."

i was asleep when he said it. but the idea of an arm i couldn't see when i was awake trying to get the attention of the celestial body nearest to me felt like a good image to encapsulate where i am now and the gestures that brought me here.
