raze i never really knew what the word meant. for the longest time, i thought it was a positive outcome. like, "here's the silver lining in the belly of a bullshit cloud." it sounded like a thing that was on the rise. last_night i decided it was the other way around. a drawback or a caveat.

come to find out i was wrong on both counts. it isn't good or bad. it's just the end of something.

tender_square i always thought this word connoted something positive as well, that sliver of goodness in a pile of shit. i'm still kind of baffled that it means "outcome" after you posted this, raze. i'm even more baffled that the word's first use was noted in 1594. how in the hell have i never heard this word enough to know it in its proper context? 230802
