tender_square his youngest has just graduated grade school. as she posed in her dress, she looked like she was already sixteen and going on college. his older daughter stood beside the graduate in another photo, both with bleached smiles and the same curled bob. "my wife and i don't really get along," he admitted. "here, it's 40 hours, no OT." he said his wife didn't like that he was earning a lot less than he used to, that all she cared about was money. she's a teacher and won't stop reminding him that she's retiring in nine years. he said they were fortunate during covid; their two houses were paid off, their cars. his wife spends and spends. the company issued our paycheques yesterday; already, he said, there'd be trouble when he arrived home that night, his wife complaining that there wasn't enough to cover the bills. 230622
