raze i'm not sure any sane person would ever think to place these two voices next to each other in the same song. jim was made to sing punk rock, all grit and scorched_earth and tendons tensing. pat was made to sing soulful love songs, all silk and smooth dives and gravity-defying leaps. the bands they're in operate on different planets, one a defiantly diy, hard-edged monolith, the other a polished, motown-influenced, radio-ready unit poised for potential major label success.

so, naturally, i stuck both of them in a call-and-response banjo blues murder ballad. i do the calling, we all do the responding, and the three of us together sound like something more than what we are.

sometimes twisted ideas are the best ones.

raze i should listen to your music while i do things too. maybe we'll have a mind meld ... or maybe i'll appear in your kitchen with a useful bowl of hummus. 150128

jane i want to hang in a kitchen and eat cucumbers and hummus with both of you, and listen to all of the music.

can you tell i've been craving a deeper connection?
